A regular lesson is €20 for a full hour. I'm working on prepaid bundle packages — those aren't available yet, but I'll let existing students know first when they are.
Full breakdown of lesson costs →Yes — age doesn't matter if the student is motivated!
Learning drums as an adult — and why it's easier than you think →Yes. Most people who come to me for a first lesson have never played anything before — that's a perfectly normal starting point.
What you'll learn in the first three months →Yes — it's 45 minutes for €10. The point is to come to Band House, try our drums, meet me, and figure out whether you want to keep going. No commitment required.
Drum lessons in Sofia — what to ask before you sign up →Not at the start. Once you're a few lessons in and want to practise between sessions, a basic practice pad is worth getting — they're inexpensive and quiet. I'll tell you what makes sense when the time comes.
How to practise without a kit at home →Every lesson is tailored to your level. I don't teach a fixed programme to all students — I create a plan specifically for you based on your goals, your favourite music genres, and your available time.
What happens in your first drum lesson →Once a week is the minimum that produces real progress. The students who improve quickest also practise a little between lessons — even 15 minutes on a practice pad at home makes a measurable difference.
You'll play something that actually sounds like music within the first two or three lessons. Beyond that, real progress depends on how consistently you practise between sessions.
How to know you're no longer a beginner →Always individual — just you and me — full focus on you.
Why individual lessons work better than group →The trial is 45 minutes. Regular lessons are 60 minutes — a full hour.
From around 5 or 6 years old — but it depends on the child more than the age. The trial lesson shows us everything we need to know.
What age can children start drums — and how to tell if they're ready →Rock, pop, funk, jazz, metal, Latin rhythms — whatever you want to play. If you come in with a song you love, we figure out how to work toward it.
Which drum style should you learn first →No — you don't need to read sheet music. We learn by playing. I introduce rhythm notation as we go, but it's never the main focus.
Drums develop coordination and concentration in a very direct way — training two hands and two feet to do different things simultaneously. I also see real improvements in discipline and confidence. Kids who start shy tend to change.
Drums for kids — what actually works at different ages →Yes, if you let me know in advance. I work around people's schedules as much as I can.
I'm working on prepaid packages with a discount — not available yet. I'll announce when they are.
Tell me your budget, how much space you have at home, and whether noise is an issue — and I'll give you a specific recommendation. No need to overspend at the start.
Buying your first drum kit — how to avoid wasting money →Lessons take place at Band House — Knyaz Alexander Dondukov Blvd 17, Sofia Center. Central location, easy to reach by public transport.
